Scott Sifferman & Justin Eise

2002-2003 Senate Write-in Candidates for the
College of Engineering and Applied Sciences

Scott Sifferman is a second-year Electrical Engineering student who is excited to actively represent the Engineering College in the ASASU Senate for the 2002-2003 academic year.  He is currently involved with the student movement to request that the Academic Senate to reconsider the Plus/Minus Grading Option to be made effective Spring, 2003.  This grading option would be hurtful to engineering students, who represent some of the best and brightest that this University has to offer.  The new system puts ASU students at a distinct disadvantage by making it more difficult for graduates to compete with students from other state schools who currently do not utilize Plus/Minus grading scales. Justin Eise is a second-semester Electrical Engineering student who wants to give the Engineering College the proper representation it has long deserved.  He is willing to do what is necessary to secure school funds and resources for engineering clubs and activities, and he is completely open to the ASU engineering community. The breadth of his interests and experience make him an well-rounded candidate for ASASU Senate.  He believes that the Plus/Minus grading system as proposed is unfair to students.
